Be aware when you want to do something

For children, they normally act without thinking of any consequences to their surrounding. Normally they will defend their action with excuses. This is very important for the educators to remind and teach them to realize the mistake they've done.

Think before act

The children need to be taught to take any action after thinking of the consequences. Children should be reminded to control their behaviour and not doing some silly actions. Children should be taught to think before act and don't act whatever they want to reach any their goal.

Plant and human depend on each other

Children should understand that plant and human are depending on each other. This is because plants release oxygen that used by other living things for breathing. While plants use carbon dioxide to produce their food. Carbon dioxide is produced from the respiration process of human and other living things. The balance between plant and human need to be maintained to avoid natural disaster.

Benefits of Trees

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), an estimated 18 million acres (7.3 million hectares) of forest are lost each year. Many trees are being cut down for the purpose of agriculture and it is estimated that there will be no more rainforests within 100 years. So, what is a tree and why are they so important? A tree is a tall plant with woody tissue. The main parts of a tree are the roots, the trunk, the branches and the leaves. Trees gather light for photosynthesis through their leaves.

Trees provide many benefits for both humans and animals. They clean the air, provide food and oxygen, conserve energy, save water, help prevent water pollution, help prevent soil erosion, create economic opportunities, provide shelter for wildlife, provide shade for humans and also combat climate change. They are too precious for us to cut them down. That's why we need to plant and protect the trees instead of damaging them.

Food Chain

Food chain is where one organism eats another organism and then is eaten by another organism. It starts with the primary source which is the sun, where producers like plants make food through photosynthesis, and then continues with consumers or animals who eat the food and ends with the top predator in the food chain. So, a food chain is a linear sequence of organisms through which nutrients and energy pass when one organism eats another. Lastly, the dead bodies of the organism decompose by bacteria and fungi. This will provide the nutrients for the plants. Many interconnected food chains form the food web.

For example, plants make their own food by absorbing sunlight, water and carbon dioxide, then they are consumed by the insect. The insect is then consumed or eaten by bird and bird is eaten by snake which is the top predator in the food chain. From this food chain, we can see that plant is the producer, insect is the primary consumer, bird is the secondary consumer and snake is the tertiary consumer. So, without plant, the whole food chain cannot be formed. Every animal have their own role in the ecosystem, and without them, the ecosystem will collapse. Hence, we should love all the plants and animals!

Healthy Environment & Balanced Ecosystem

A healthy environment includes the clean air we breath, our clean water, our healthy food and our clean surroundings. Our environment has a large impact on our health and well-being, and to live well, we should do our part to take care of the environment. For a healthy environment, we should reduce the usage of water and electricity, reduce our carbon emission by taking public transport or carpooling, avoid pollution and also recycle or upcycle the waste products and also maintain a balanced ecosystem.

A balanced ecosystem is where the animals, plants and non-living components are living in harmony. Biodiversity boosts ecosystem productivity where all species have their roles to play. For example, a larger number of plant species means a greater variety of crops. The greater species diversity, the better the survival rate for all life forms. Balanced ecosystems clean our water, purify our air, maintain our soil, regulate the climate, recycle nutrients and provide us with food. They provide raw materials and resources for medicines and other purposes. However, many ecosystems are in danger of losing the harmony nowadays. So, let's do something for our environment before it's too late.
