The Storytellers
Syarifah Syaza Hanaa’
Idrissi International School
Sembang@WWF Title :
Our consumption pattern and consumerist culture
About the Storyteller :
Syarifah Syaza saw herself leaving familiarity to follow her father on an assignment in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. She spent almost three years completing her primary school at Ela Murray International School. She learned to adapt, appreciate people and other cultures from all over the world. She also developed a love for rugby and enjoyed every second living in Papua New Guinea.
Syaza returned to Malaysia and continued her studies in Idrissi International School. As an eco-ambassador for the school, she has learned to appreciate nature. She loves photography and enjoys sports such as netball and basketball. As a prefect in Idrissi, she believes that you cannot be the best version of you until you appreciate others the way they are.
Wafa Salim

Sembang@WWF Title :
Why is the status quo not enough? Racing against time to solve the climate crisis with innovation
About the Storyteller :
While my passion is in language, I have always been interested in environmental activism because it is something that impacts everyone regardless of race and status. We should give it more attention, especially by youth, as we are the people who will have to live with the consequences of global warming. I hope to pass on the message of environmental awareness to the next generation. I also hope that years later, when I look back, we had taken the necessary steps to move forward during the most critical period for the earth.
